About the Artist Megan McKiernan is a self-taught traditional watercolour Artist, Writer, and business owner. She was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and is a Metis Native American. She shares her art studio with her three cats and husband in Ontario, Canada. "I have everything I need" For as long as she can remember she loved to explore and draw. Her heart is drawn toward the world's beautiful animals, history and nature's infinite complexity. She puts her heart and soul into everything she creates and combines life's sorrows, happiness, and dreams. "Being myself fills me with happiness, imagination and creative freedom, which I believe shows in all my original artwork" Megan hopes to bring joy and peace with her unique soft painting, pleasing detailed backgrounds and original whimsical characters. She has a variety of styles and pays very close attention to detail. She loves sharing her passion with others and making everyone smile. When Megan isn't creating you can find her walking foreign steps on a trail she's already known, piecing complicated puzzles together, writing poems, baking "healthy" treats, learning, biking, reading, cleaning, finding space with Yoga, daydreaming and spending quality time with her husband, cats, and close family. Random fun notes about Megan: "I have plenty of Ziggy moments, I get my strength from love, I live on precious memories, I'm trying to fall in love with myself, I like to hear the sound of beetle wings, I talk to cats, tea is my medicine, I say Zed, I won a fight with a 4000-pound metal beast, I have Single Sided Deafness SSD, I'm addicted to tea (I'm drinking one right now), I like to be one of the guys but I'm super girly, I love the little things, my favourite games are Paper Mario, Mario Kart & Indie games, I love all seasons, I'm an introvert, I think organizing is fun, God guides me & saved my life, and I love animals so much I won't eat them."
